Remember growing up: there was always "that house". The one you went to see with your family - with the great Christmas lights! Most people don't remember a present they received 10 years ago but they do remember things they did with their families. We hope we can be "that house" for people in our area to enjoy. But Christmas is much more than just lights, decorations and presents: it's the day that recognizes the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. One of the biggest reasons we decided to do a big Christmas light show is because it became an opportunity to help people in need. In 2009 we were approached by Randy from Prime Pyrotechnics to schedule an evening of Christmas lights & fireworks. We immediately contacted a local charity in our area to see how our fireworks and light show could help benefit the people they serve. We put together an event called Christmas in the Sky, where we collected personal care items and cash donations to support the Erie City Mission. Our event was very successful and we received a lot of support from people and businesses around the Girard and Erie County community. It was pretty cool seeing commercial-grade fireworks being launched from our back yard too! Come out December 17th, for Christmas in the Sky 2011 at 7PM and have a ton of fun and help support a great cause!
